Most people seemed very happy with FunExpo, which took place in Lyon France last week. Although a more regionally based and definitely smaller exhibition, compared to Funeraire, it felt much more friendly. The organising team, lead by Cyril Ladet provided us with a superb stand to work from and we talked to many prospective visitors and exhibitors to NFE next year.

Intercar launched a hybrid hearse at FunExpo. Based on a Chrysler, the hearse has a 50 kilometre electric driven range and is available in left or right handed versions. The suppliers believe this to be a world first and we are hoping that British funeral directors will get a chance to see it next June at NFE 2011
Haddonstone – the UK’s leading manufacturer or fine cast stone garden ornaments – launched its range of Garden Cremation Memorials at the last National Funeral Exhibition. Haddonstone Memorials will be back in 2011 with an expanded range of designs including Memorial Blocks and Memorial Stones.

We’ve just got back from The Lyon exhibition FunExpo, well I have but our European agent is right at this minute sitting in the airport after her flight was cancelled,I guess she’s looking a bit like this right now…
To date we have 136 exhibitors at next years NFE. In 2009 we had a total of 170, so we are well on target to beat that. Here is the list so far
