Funeral Director Monthly, the British funeral industry’s most prestigious magazine, is launching a national photography competition for anyone involved in the British funeral business. There are two categories, funeral related or an open category for virtually any subject, and final judging will take place at NFE 2011 in June. Its just one more way to keep in touch with us http://www.linkedin.com/groups?mostPopular=&gid=3719504 The group is administered by Kimberley, our business development manager I have just spent nearly a whole day protecting the registration page of the main site from so called bots, the robots that troll every site trying to pick up email addresses and then spam them with everything from marital aids to water coolers. I sincerely hope the people who use such cheap methods to get business have a truly horrible Christmas. I actually wish them far worse than that but as [...] Our snow girl might be a little early getting to the NFE family day but she’s got the right idea. Let’s hope the weather will be a little warmer in June. Whatever you’re doing over Christmas, have a very special time with your family and friends. [...] We get an enquiry for space virtually every day at the NFE office and we’re up to 140 exhibitors now. With 6 months to go before the show opens we should beat our 170 figure for last year. We wont make any predictions, but wouldn’t it be nice to be nice to shout “180!” This has absolutely no relevance to funerals or shows, but its amusing, at least to me. We are redecorating our bedroom, (correction, my wife is) and we’ve decided to turn the bed round, pointing south to north. We tried it out for a couple of nights before decorating and both found we slept better, so I decided [...] I’m sitting in the office looking out at a dark wintry sky with snow on the ground, but I’m thinking about ice cream and sandcastles and donkey rides on the beach. That’s the theme of our family day for 2011. The kids are going love it, while you get on with business at the exhibition. As for [...] Funeral directors must be having problems with the snow right now and I guess a lot of rearranging has had to take place in some areas.
