Be very proud!

It’s a great year, with the Jubilee, Wimbledon and now the Olympics. I thought the opening ceremony was magnificent with the kind of humour that only the Brits could provide. As for the Queen’s first acting role, she deserves an oscar for both her performance and her willingness to get involved. So much for stuffy British Royalty!

The majority of the country are enjoying every second, its just a few whinging newspapers who let the side down. Headlines about lost keys at Wembley arena is hardly what we want to hear right now. Security wasnt compromised so what the heck. I lose my keys at regular intervals only to find them just where I left them.

Our atheletes are under incredible pressure to perform well and their own fear of failure is far worse than anything we could feel as we sit in our armchairs watching the TV . Rebecca Adlington showed real guts to get her bronze and you could almost taste her determination to get in the first three.

A few more medals and Britain will have a permanent smile on its face, and who knows, we might even laugh our way out of recession.
